After nearly 20 years of research and scientific innovation, L’Oréal Paris has launched Melasyl Dark Spot Creamy-Serum, introducing its breakthrough patented ingredient, Melasyl, to the iconic Revitalift skincare range.
Developed through an extensive research program that screened over 100,000 molecules, Melasyl is designed to help reduce the appearance of localized excess pigmentation while improving overall skin tone uniformity. The innovation is protected by 23 global patents and was recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions 2025.
The new creamy-serum is formulated to visibly fade dark spots—including persistent discoloration—while enhancing radiance and smoothing the appearance of wrinkles. Suitable for a wide range of skin tones, the formula combines the efficacy of a serum with the hydration and comfort of a cream for lightweight daily use.
Alongside Melasyl, the formula features dermatologist-backed ingredients including Vitamin Cg, a stabilized Vitamin C derivative that helps brighten skin and improve tone, and Niacinamide, known for helping reduce the appearance of dark spots.
According to a consumer study, 97% of participants agreed their skin looked more even-toned and radiant after use.
The product also introduces an innovative twist-and-pump applicator, designed to protect the formula’s integrity while delivering a precise amount with every application.
Commenting on the launch, Laura Branik, President of L’Oréal Paris USA, said the new serum reflects the brand’s commitment to making advanced skincare science more accessible. She noted that the product combines dermatologist-inspired efficacy with an affordable price point to help consumers address common concerns such as dark spots, uneven skin tone, and visible signs of aging.
The Revitalift Melasyl Dark Spot Creamy-Serum is now available on Amazon for US$29.99.
